SUMMER 2026 UPDATE

 

Happy summer everyone! We hope you are ready for fun times once again at HPYC and can join us for our Sunfish races, Saturdays at 10am. The competition is friendly, we all learn from each other, and we welcome anyone regardless of prior racing experience. 

 

Our yacht club staff is available to help skippers get boats on and off the racks and water. Typically, we race three short-course races, so you can be off the water in time for lunch and other afternoon activities. Show up at around 9am, bring a life jacket, a water bottle, and a smile, and we’ll help you rig a boat. Whether you’re an experienced racer or a newbie, young or old, big or small, this fleet’s got room for you.

Warning Signal at 10am. Typically, we hold three short course races in Hyannis harbor. Typically, the last race finishes by noon.

As in past years we'll have prizes for each of the top three finishers in the July and August series. The overall season winner is awarded the Abercrombie & Fitch trophy. 

 

We have several club boats that are available to members who don't have their own. Reserve a boat.

 

While not needed for our Saturday morning races, to race in these larger regattas you must be a Sunfish class member. Join the Sunfish class.
