Adult Sailing Lessons

Whether you are stepping onto a boat for the very first time or looking to sharpen your skills, our adult sailing lessons offer the perfect opportunity to learn in a relaxed, supportive and fun environment. Members and non-members are welcome! Space is limited.

What You’ll Learn:

Designed to meet you exactly where you are and build directly on your existing experience, this course provides the fundamental training required to confidently skipper and crew a day-sailing vessel. Students master hands-on maneuvers like tacking, jibing, and proper sail trim, while learning the essential aerodynamic theory behind how sails interact with the wind. The curriculum also focuses heavily on practical harbor skills—including safe docking, knot tying, and interpreting navigation buoys.

When: Tuesdays or Thursdays from 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Where: Hyannis Port Yacht Club Pier, 175 Irving Ave., Hyannis Port, MA
HPYC Member Participant Cost: $250 per session
Non-Member Participant Cost: $350 per session
